With DeskControl Personal you simply enter your Email Address and Password. Desk Control is only available to xcelnet clients who have their own domain hosted with us (ie. if your email address ends with @xcel.net.au then you do not have access to DeskControl). Also, Parked Domains do not have this feature available.

DeskControl ... Each employee can use DeskControl to access their email. The web based mail program allows them to send and receive, add attachments, maintain an online address book, and more. If customers have existing address books they can import their address book details into their DeskControl WebMail program. By importing these files into your personal Address Book to save you hours of tediously typing them in by hand.

Employee Self Service

DeskControl focuses on Employee Self Service (ESS) This is about giving employees the tools to update their details as they change at any time in the My Profile section. The Companies HR manager can specify the names of the fields that the employee must fill in, and then review these details through Mission Control. This enables the HR manager to update any other employee record system that the company may be using, with up to date information at any time.

Anywhere - Anytime

For the principles of Employee Self Service to work effectively, employees need to be able to access it. To access it all they need is a web browser and a connection to the internet. DeskControl works well in environments where not all employees have PC's. As each employee can logon to to DeskControl, read their email, company news etc. then logoff. A centrally located PC with a web browser is all that is needed, or access to the internet from a home computer, internet cafés or Internet Terminals at Airport lounges etc.

A Room with a View

A Rooms section which allows you to view multiple website of the same genre, without spending time searching for them such as a News rooms, Finance Rooms, and Library Rooms etc.
